What’s your story?

The story of I how I ended up at SW is a testament to how important the bridal blogging community is, and really, how vital the internet has become for the Bridal Industry. I started a wedding and event inspirations blog in February 2008 and somehow ended up on Style Me Pretty for a "Real Weddings" feature. My Style Me Pretty feature opened the door for me to connect with some brilliant minds in who were part of the professional bridal community on the internet. I eventually met the Bliss Event Group Ladies, and soon after, became a Bliss Girl myself! We created a column, Wanwisa Wednesday, on SW so I can share more inspiring ideas with internet savvy brides.

OK, give us the CV. Awards, most interesting honor, important accomplishments/milestones?

Planning my wedding was definitely a huge accomplishment for me - it was something I loved every second of and only thought of as an accomplishment later on when family and friends could not stop talking about it. My most interesting honor though, would have to be making it as a finalist for this year's Conde Nast Traveler Dream Trip Photo Contest . It was a photo taken during my honeymoon and was perhaps one of the scariest moments of my life!

What are your favorite flowers?

Some may call me boring, but I just adore Calla Lilies. They are elegant and understated; you really can't go wrong with them. They are also easy to work with and are sturdy flowers. I do get excited about Peonies in the Summer though.

What is your day like?

I start it off eating cereal and drinking coffee in front of my computer. I'm either writing a post about something that would be amazing for an event or a wedding or I'm researching amazing things for events and weddings. I live and breath "fab-finds" and researching items, ideas, venues and connecting with vendors, designers etc takes up the bulk of my day and I feel so blessed for that!

You would be surprised to know __________

my dog is in a Rock Band!

I am committed to______

my husband, my family, creating special moments and fantastic parties for people from all walks of life, traveling and learning more about food from various cultures.

What do you enjoy about working at SW?

I enjoy contributing to something that not only provides planning-brides with lots of beautiful ideas and advice but also brings a little excitement and happiness to the whole process of planning.

What are your favorite wedding memories?

Running to the back kitchen at Per Se for our photo right after our ceremony, the walk to the kitchen itself was such a surreal and private moment with my...husband!

Favorite non-wedding blogs/sites:

Design*Sponge and Eater

Favorite restaurants?

Aside from Per Se. Grimaldi's Pizzeria, Yakitori Totto, In-n-out, Bouchon Bakery Cafe, and Bar Masa.

Favorite foods?

Pizza, Macarons and Burgers

_______changed my life

Macarons - never have I thought about food and dessert the way that I do now after working on a slew of custom (and some very interesting) flavors with Bouchon's head chef, Chef Capizzi.

Name some fun, random factoids about yourself.

My name, Wanwisa, is rather common in Thailand. Growing up with a unique name has been such a great experience. As an adult, I love having a name that people remember; I have benefitted from it in so many ways - like getting first dibs on my new apartment. Another interesting fact? I married my High School sweetheart - we celebrated our 11 year dating anniversary just one week before our wedding.

Skeletons in the closet?

I have secretly been planning a vow-renewal celebration since we've gotten home from the honeymoon.

Do you collect anything?

Aside from shoes and bags, I help my husband collect foreign currency and beer bottles from around the world.

What is your dream vacation spot?

We love to travel so the answer to this question always changes. For now, I would love to go to the Maldives.

Hidden talents?

finding amazing discounts - most recent conquer? Paying $25 for a Lisli wool dress that retails for $268!

Hilarious sister/brother or family memories?

There are too many to mention! Most recently I bought my dog-loving brother a gag gift. He's an amazing cook but there's always dog fur in everything he makes! My husband and I found a large serving platter from Our Name Is Mud that reads "everything tastes better with dog fur in it" and gave it to him during one of our gatherings.

In the words of Oprah... “Here’s what I know for sure...”

compassion for others goes a long way!
