Winner : Maihar Designs

I love the giveaways where we have multiple winners. I get to be the bearer of good news for three lovely readers, which is always fun. Then, add in the prize--gift certificates for $120 from Maihar Designs--and oh my goodness, what good, good news it is!

Maihar Designs has a beautiful line of ring bearer pillows, flower wands, and hair petals for winners to pick from. Their pictures are so visually pleasing that I just want to buy them all (though I don't quite know what I'd do with so many ring bearer pillows).

Congratulations to Rachel, Brooke, and Cassandra! They shared with us their business ideas and lucky them, they were randomly selected as the winners!

I've always had the idea of starting up my own travel agency. I love planning my own vacations, so I know it would be an enjoyable to do that for other people! I would want to help people find alternative and truly authentic vacations. I would ask questions about why the person is wanting a vacation and tailor the trips to create the true experience they need based on what they say they want.

Besides my husband, my pups are the light of my life. Their "stuff" can get very expensive though so I started using my sewing skills to craft them new collars and such. I got to thinking one day if this stuff is expensive for me it must be expensive for others too and what can I do about it? I am just getting my underway selling affordable and fashionable dog accessories. Currently I am building up my stock of collars but hope to expand to leashes, toys, hair bows, beds, etc. very soon!

Couture!!! That's my gig. :) My amazing talented mother taught me how to sew when I was quite young, but let me take it from there by myself, (but was sure to leave plenty of books around about new techniques!) As I was home schooled, my mother was able to observe and, I guess you could say enable my passion for beautiful, stylish, and impeccably constructed garments. I was given every opportunity to learn and grow and develop my technique and style, so that by the time I was ready to look for a college, I had already mastered everything that a fashion school could have taught me. So now I'm doing custom wedding dresses, until I finish my {history} degree, and can finally pursue designing and producing my own line of truly unique, romantic and sophisticated gowns.
I totally love the whole sister act; my kid sister is a *fabulous* jewelry designer, and works with some of my brides, designing unique and lovely pieces just for them! Way to go, girls!
