Candy-Coated Photo Contest: Semi-Finalists!

I guess my not-so-well-kept secret is out of the bag.  And it's totally true.  I have two main loves in life (besides my fiancé, of course): sparkly bling and C-A-N-D-Y!  Luckily, I got both when I agreed to marry Kyle, so you're looking at one happy bride-to-be.

This Easter, we challenged our readers to produce a sugary-sweet photo shoot with 3 main ingredients: candy, rings and a camera, and my inbox blew up with rainbow goodness.   And diamonds.  Lots of diamonds.  Y’all have some gorgeous rings, by the way!

As hard as it was, I finally narrowed down a week’s worth of submissions to my top 5 picks:

1.  First up is cotton candy goodness from Julie Harmsen.  I love cotton candy like nobody's business, and think these pretty pastels are Easter-perfect.  Need I say more?

2.  I call Abbie Hart's submission "Demonic Bunnies Do Bling."  And I kind love it.  Period.
3.  Jacquelyn Jackson sent this fun shot my way.  Love the angle, love the gummies and L-O-V-E the rings!

4.  I picked this next one from Dana Goodson especially for my buddy, Emily.  She’s the office Chocolate Queen, and has some pretty high standards.  I’m pretty sure this pic will make the cut.

5.  And last – but certainly not least! – this fun, technicolor shot from Stephanie + Rick Osborne of Ardent Photography.  Nerds are one of my all-times faves, and I just couldn’t resist.

I vote for #5, the princess cut solitaire, suspended in Nerds. Diamonds are very difficult to photograph. That entry shows off the stone to it's best advantage :)
