Contest: Untamed Petals

Hey y'all!  We're starting the week off right with a fun, fashionable giveaway from Untamed Petals!

The first time I heard about Etsy, it was described as "eBay for crafters". Well, yes, it is a great website for vendors to share their wares, but it is so. much. more! Etsy has become a community. It gives any creative person, anywhere in the world, the opportunity for others to see their products. For those of us who crave something unique, Etsy is the way to go. Want an original piece? Most sellers are willing to create something tailored to your individual desires -- and there's always Alchemy. From paper to furniture, from clothing to wall art, Etsy has something for everyone.

Amanda Gilbert is the mastermind behind Untamed Petals, an Etsy shop that specializes in beautiful, feminine headbands, sashes, and adornments. Amanda feels that "every girl deserves something one-of-a-kind in their wardrobe. The Untamed Petals philosophy is that the accessory makes the outfit, which is why each headpiece, belt, corsage, and fascinator is created to make a bold statement and complete any look." One lucky SW reader will win a gorgeous ivory or white Full Bloom sash from Untamed Petals.

To Enter: Take a look around the Untamed Petals Etsy store and tell us your favorite product by posting below. Then (step 2), give us some suggestions: is there an Etsy store that you've come across that you are dying to share with the world? Here's your chance--tell us which one you love!

Win: An ivory or white (your choice) Full Bloom Bridal Sash from Untamed Petals!

This contest will end at midnight on Tuesday, March 9.

For myself I'd LOVE to get the Swarovski Crystal Oval rhinestone and beaded trim Bridal Wedding Sash because it has the same shape as the details on my shoes!

I love the flower sashes in the Untamed Petals Store. I've been looking for one to get my Maid of Honor to give her an extra pop of something special--New Full Bloom Original Untamed Sash-- would be lovely! I also love Carrisa - Yellow chiffon and gold lace flower on a skinny gold headband- because the bridesmaid dresses are in this yellow!

My favorite Etsy store is MarloNoel's! She custom made jewelry for my wedding and took the time to make it exactly as I wanted. She was great to work with. Her shop link is below.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/MeandMatilda- Me and Matilda is a great store for any southern brides who want to add bowties or ties to their guys looks. She has so many great colors and the quality is really good too!

I love the poppy fascinator!

I've just recently been introduced to the Etsy world, so I'm looking forward to actually finding a favorite vendor!

I am on a constant headband search. Like seriously, hours a day every day.....never ending! But I do love the Bridal Crystal and Rhinestone Beaded Headband or Halo, very simple and classic but with such a cute shape! LOVE IT!
MY fav ETSY store right now...hmmm...can I put three????
1.crafitti They have such cute jewelry, and such great communication! I had a custom made bracelet, and she was nice!
2. roundabout Check out the copper leaf bracelet, I ordered these for my bridesmaids, and adore them!
3.PenelliBelle I have never ordered from here, but love all of her stuff!
Can I be your new ETSY review blogger?! :-)

I've been looking for a fascinator that incorporates everything I love, and her New Untamed Fascinator does just that. Silk chiffon, organza, lace, feathers and pearls; perfect for some hair loveliness.

Clutch That! Has some pretty incredible clutches and a friend of mine snagged a variety of peacock ones for her bridesmaids to carry.

SweetPixiePie is extremely talented in the art of polymer clay. She has adorable woodland cake toppers that can be customized for your wedding. (I love the little gnome doors too!)

I love the Silk Chiffon flowers, here: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=30754249
They are so pretty and romantic!

And for my favorite Etsy store, it's not from a specific creator, instead it's a mix. All of the products sold from this page help the family of Emily, a little girl who lost her battle with cancer in January. The family has 2 million dollars worth of medical bills, and from now until March 4th the products bought will help them pay the bills! Not only does it help a family who has gone through so much, but the stuff being sold is adorable, from little girl's headbands to American Girl Doll's clothes!

Let me first say, that I absolutely love love Etsy. I have no idea what I would have done without this website for all my wedding supplies. Untamed Petals has some beautiful designs but I have my eye on the Ivory Chiffon and Organza fascinators. How cute are they?!!

There are so many shops that I have found on Etsy that are utterly adorable so it’s too difficult to pick just one. My top two favorite shops are Lulusplendor where I purchased my wedding day earrings which are just dripping with gorgeousness and thebackporchshoppe where I had a custom wedding day sign made in which I will use the back of the sign as a guest book.

What a wonderful etsy store!! I love all of the wonderful headbands and sashes but my favorite is the one entitled Carrisa. It is a beautiful yellow chiffon and gold lace flower on a skinny headband! I think it could be worn for a pop of color with a wedding dress or any dress!!

Another favorite etsy store is Pom Love. I just love the beautiful assortment of colored pom poms and I envision them hanging all around the alter.

My fave is the untamed petals halo! Also love the facinator, but really everything is beautiful! And as for my favorite new etsy spot, I would have to say my own brand new shop with my best friend, tilde designs! http://www.etsy.com/shop/tildedesigns

I love the Untamed Fascinator, so pretty. But I also love the beaded crystal headband/halo. There are just so many cute things!!

Being a wedding photographer I love details at weddings, I always suggest my brides go to Etsy to find cute, unique details for their wedding. Recently a bride shared this store with me and I have been sending all my brides to it. http://www.etsy.com/shop/lilafrances
the custom wire hangers are so cute!!!

I am floored by the Swarovski Crystal Oval rhinestone and beaded trim sash! Many bridal gowns can get that couture feel with little details, and those chosen details can become the centerpiece of a look. Belts and accents around the waist are super-duper flattering on the right structure. YAY for the belt! ETSY was our cornerstone for a wedding in Savannah. We did a ton of personal touches, and our monogrammed dinner napkins were something we fell in love with. See here! http://www.etsy.com/shop/EmbroiderybyLinda

Loving the fabulous bow fascinator!

And I must say, I love the undiscovered flora, fauna, birds and nest found here:

I've been searching high and low for the perfect statement reception hair piece. I love love love the penelope clips -- I'd order them in an ivory color to match my dress! They'd be so perfect with my homemade tissue pomanders that my FMIL is making for part of the decor!

I've also got to recommend my bff's (and maid of honor) etsy shop, where she sells handpainted watercolor notecards and invitations. She and I made my "will you be my bridesmaid" cards, which she now makes in all different colors for brides-to-be! Also, she's done some beautiful shower invites, adorable city maps and her OWN wedding invites (our weddings are within 3 weeks of each other and having so much fun planning at the same time!!). Check her out for all things paper: http://www.etsy.com/shop/NattyMichelle?section_id=6174908

My favorite piece is (and this was a very difficult decision) the Double band Bridal Crystal and Rhinestone Beaded Headband or Halo. So romantic, vintage, and classic... love, love, love it!

My favorite Etsy shop is Design Whimsy. She makes bouquets, bouts, decor, etc. out of vintage fabrics, broaches, and other fabulous findings. Absolutely stunning items!

I love the Silk Chiffon flowers - so sweet and simple!

My favorite right now is probably BirdNerd - http://www.etsy.com/shop/BirdNerd her artwork is simply gorgeous. I bought a few of the notecards and I'm kind of in love with them.

I haven't bought anything from ETSY yet, but I love browsing different pages and marveling at all of the talent out there. I'm definately looking for that wow factor to add to my wedding-day look.

I love the fascinators on the UntamedPetals page, and the Bridal Crystal and Rhinestone Beaded Headband or Halo is great. I love their awesome details.

I love the penelope clips...they could go anywhere! So cute! This etsy seller is wonderful. I have spent hours pouring over Etsy and I STILL find new and exciting sellers....all with great talent.
I want to share this store, Bella Bridal Veils. They offer simple veils at very reasonable prices. I knew I wanted a traditional veil for my church ceremony, but I also knew I did not want to pay a lot of money for a veil I was only going to wear for about an hour (I am wearing a fasicinator at the reception). This Etsy site offers every length veil but won't drain that wedding budget...haha.

I really love the 'New Full Bloom Bridal Sash collection - Silk and organza flowers accented with millinery leaves and feather'. My wedding dress has a fluffy, funky flower on it just like this sash. I would love something like this for my maid of honor to tie her dress in with mine.

Lately I've been in love with personalized stamps and return addresses. I was really happy with the stamp I got from Zooprie. Their stuff is whimsical and sweet. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterNatalie

I love the Silk and organza flowers accented with millinery leaves and feather Sash- it's just stunning! The colours and the textures in that sash would match both my ivory wedding dress as well as my great-grandmother's brown wedding dress from 1924, which I want to wear in my engagement photos.

I love Amanda's work and am just blown away by her talents!

I love the full bloom bridal sash!! But I think I would just wear it with everything, not just one day!!!
