Gia Graham Color Palette: Lavender, Pewter and Rose
What a romantic way to start the week! We have another spectacular color palette from the always talented Gia of {betsywhite}. These soft hues are the perfect color combination for a traditional spring wedding. Recognize the gorgeous couple in the bottom right corner? From Gia: Both lavender and rose were predicted to be fashion-forward colors in the color forecast for Spring 2009 and those colors did indeed make an appearance in bridesmaid collections for popular brands like J.Crew and Jenny Yoo. This palette is soft, pretty and perfect for spring.
The bride and bridesmaids: The bride could wear a fun pink fabric flower hair accessory to accent her simple white gown while the bridesmaids wear rose pink dresses with small white fabric flowers in their hair. Another option for the bridesmaids is to wear pewter dresses and carry pink bouquets.
The groom and groomsmen: Grey suits would be ideal for the men. If you can get them to wear rose pink ties, go for it! If not, silver ties would look lovely and a touch of pink and lavender could be added to the lapel with the boutonniere.
Accents and Details: To avoid pastel overload, the base color for décor could be pewter, which is an elegant neutral while rose and lavender are used only as accents.
