Karen Tran: Marie Antoinette Romance
Welcome back to our second Karen Tran Thursday! If you missed the first post, be sure to check it out here.
Love is in the air! Champagne, chocolates and roses are the common things we associate with this amorous day. In the spirit of Valentine's day, I thought I would share my own interpretations of 'romance'. I know red has long been a symbol of romance, love and courage, but one cannot deny the sense of romance created by lace, sequins, garden roses and feathers! Here we used a lace sequin overlay from {Wildflower Linens} along with their chair sleeves. Beautiful blooms of white majolica spray roses, 'hollywood' roses nestled amongst white anemones, white lady slippers and hydrangeas set in a lace trimmed box. Light feathers soften this romantic palette as we tie everything together with a place setting trimmed with a touch of gold. Fancy individual cakes with ornate scrolls, feature handbags and pearls conjure up images an old-fashioned afternoon 'tea time'. What floral and decor elements speak your love language?

What a romantic style and an amazing inspiration for an event! I love the look of the centerpieces, three luscious arrangements grouped together, all at slightly different heights...it's picture perfect. This is one elegant affair!
That is a gorgeous setting! I love the beading.
What a gorgeous arrangement! Love that color combination.
That table arrangement is just beautiful. The details so delicate and charming. The muted colors used is very soothing to the eye. Perfect for a cozy, relaxed and romantic dinner.
well done Karen and absolutely elegant. I love everything about this setting. This is the palette I wish to use for my wedding so thank you for posting this. You are such an inspiration!
SOOOOO Romantic. I love the lace, trimmings, soft palette, the gold place setting. And the sweet cake on proceline stand. So precious!
Everything blends so well! Who did those cakes, they're adorable?
