Real Wedding: Lisa + Tyler, Part I
Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. To kick off an exciting week ahead, we bring you the beautiful Hilton Head wedding of Lisa + Tyler shot by Atlanta-based {Sublime Photography}. Planner: Linda with {Amanda Rose Weddings} Florist: Dawn and Stephen with {A Floral Affair}.

The weather was: Perfect! Sunny and breezy!
What was the design inspiration for your wedding? The setting of the beach combined with Tyler's favorite color green. It turned out to be a garden party at the beach.
How did the two of you meet? We were both in Athens, Georgia going to graduate school at the University of Georgia. We were living in the same apartment complex and we met while Lisa was walking her dog, Chap. We immediately became friends.
Describe your engagement: Tyler was taking off a couple of days of work for the 4th of July. I was having car trouble, so Tyler dropped me off at school and took my car in to get it fixed. When he picked me up from school, we walked into my apartment and there were flowers and the ring on the table. He wanted to propose at home where it was just the two of us and the dog.
What attracted me to my husband was: I loved that he was intelligent and worked hard, but also had fun. He loves to go out and have fun at the lake, go camping, listen to music, and also be with his family.
What attracted me to my wife was: She was so caring and such a great listener. We became instant best friends and she is always there for me.
What were your something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue items? Something old was a handkerchief my mom carried down the aisle at her wedding, something new was my dress, something borrowed was my mom's diamond necklace and something blue was a ribbon sewn into the underneath part of my dress, inside was an English sixpence the bridal store gave me for luck. I was supposed to put it in your shoe, but I wasn't wearing any shoes.
Why do you love your husband? He will always put his family first.
A date we went on that we'll always remember: We drove from Athens to Atlanta to see our favorite singer, Kenny Chesney.
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? Making sure that both religions, Judaism and Christianity, were equally represented during the ceremony.
Where there any special family traditions you included in the wedding? Our wedding combined two religions, so we stood under a chuppah to celebrate the bride's family being Jewish, and we performed a unity sand ceremony, similar to the unity candle ceremony, for the groom's family that is Christian. We could not do a candle ceremony due to the wind, so the sand was a nice alternative. Tyler’s father, a Methodist preacher, married us.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? Standing under the chuppah looking at each other, both of us smiling and laughing so we would stop crying. Seeing each other and the magnificent view of the ocean was very overwhelming.
Our favorite detail of the wedding was: The chuppah ended up being made of green bamboo that had been cut down just for our wedding. It was a wonderful surprise.
The most unexpected event on our wedding day was: All of the strangers on the beach setting up their beach chairs to watch our wedding.

Looks like it was a beautiful wedding. The pictures are gorgeous! The photographer really did a great job capturing the details and highlights of the wedding.
Congratulations!
The color of the flowers is amazing. The photographer really captured the beauty and the emotion of the day. Wow!
It was such a sweet surprise to see this posted today. I had a blast shooting this wedding and couldn't have asked for better clients or weather for that matter.
What a beautiful couple. I was actually at the wedding and the love of the young couple was unmistakable. The beach wedding was unforgettable and the united families spent time together celebrating this special occasion. It is a memory I will cherish always.
What a beautiful wedding and couple! I love the simplicity and elegance. It seems this couple's interests were focused on symbolism, meaning, and hospitality more than show, and it turned out beautifully. That's what makes a memorable ceremony and a great start to a lifetime of happiness. They seem like a very caring couple. I like the fact that Lisa used Tyler's favorite color! Congrats!!
It was awesome to see my family in one place at one time. Lisa, you and Tyler did a great job. Lets do it again next year. Maybe make a tradition of it. Welcome to the crazy family I am from. We love you.
I love the simplicity and elegance of this wedding...
