This is my last week here in California and I have to say I am getting pretty sentimental. In the two and a half years I've been here, I've married the man of my dreams (at the Bellagio at left), been introduced to Navy life (Ari is a flight surgeon at Point Mugu), worked on some phenomenal weddings, seen my husband survive his tour in Iraq with flying colors and published this magazine. Quite frankly, this magazine and SWS editors Danielle and Amanda got me through his long deployment. In one short week we will say goodbye to California and the Navy. My husband will start his residency at Chapel Hill and I will be back home in the South! Such amazing things to come! So, I have to say thank you--to our team, to the amazing people I have worked with since I've been here, and to the dozens of people who have emailed recently to welcome me with open arms to North Carolina. I am so excited to meet all of you!
