SW Printing Tour

Happy Tuesday y'all!  We're all getting caught up here after a whirlwind few weeks getting our first issue off to print.  I still have a mountain of emails to return and lots of travel over the next few weeks.  But, we are SO excited about the finished product and wanted to share a sneak peek of our recent adventures...

Last week Kirstin, Rachel and I flew to Florida to see our print proofs, tour the printing warehouse and do our last press check.  All of these pics were taken with my iPhone, so forgive the blurriness.  It was a lot of walking and talking, talking and walking, attempting to take pictures while doing both...

The copies were all shipped out today and we should have ours by Thursday.  We can't wait to release the issue on January 6th!

I'm off to Florida again this Friday to Monday to meet with a bride and then FINALLY taking a vacation from Christmas to New Year's (my laptop/blackberry and iPhone have been officially banned from this trip).  I hope you are all settling into some relaxation in the next couple weeks!

Happy Holidays,

Oh, how I love printing presses.

I'm a graphics major so it's what I do.

Seeing the behind the scene deals for how stuff is made, makes you look a little bit harder at everything that is printed. It's crazy to think that magazines- and everything else printed for that matter- are printed only using 4 colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) and some spot colors if it's a specific color- like Lowe's blue.

What company are yall using for your printer?
